Prayer Group

Prayer is vital in our lives and the life of our church. The Prayer Group has been meeting for many years. We meet regularly on alternate Tuesday afternoons at 2.30pm, normally in one of our homes. Whilst the pandemic restrictions exist we have continued to pray at that time in our own homes.

Prayer can be hard at times but we are thankful that we have been provided with The Holy Spirit as we read in Romans 8:  " The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express". Sometimes it helps to write down our prayers but as confidence grows we find that prayer is a relationship and is simply talking to God - what a privilege!

We normally start with some introductory thoughts, a Bible reading or listening to a CD. Then we spend five minutes in silence- just to " be still and know that He is God". We then bring our praise, thanks and intercessions to our God.

We all need God's help and guidance and we need to pray for our world, our Church and all we know who are going through hard times. We close in different ways, sharing the grace or the Lords Prayer or listening to some music. We welcome you to join us in these special times together of peace and quiet. All who come find it a very special time of peace and quiet.
